Disparities Exist: Now What?

Health Care Disparities: What can each individual nurse do to lessen health care disparities?

    Well, I know, for me, my practice has already changed as I have now been trained to identify my assumptions. I know in the past my assumptions have probably contributed to the healthcare disparities that have existed in places where I have worked. I can see my practice already changing. Each nurse has the ability to do that and to change a national problem at a grassroots level. Also, equal access to healthcare and a minimum standard of care for eveyone will help eliminate healthcare disparities.
